Updated: Apr 9, 2019

Make-up and Skin care Tutor, Napier.

When your job feels like a chore then it’s not for you. For me, being a tutor at Premier is one of my most rewarding roles yet. Teaching these young students the ins and out of the industry and seeing them blossom makes me so proud to be teaching them.

We asked Fleur a few more questions about her role and experience.

How many years have you been in this industry? I started as a beauty therapy, senior therapist and trainer. That will make it 6 years in total.

What’s the highlight of your career so far and what do you love most about your job now? I have been training in salons for a number of years so everything I’ve learned so far has been a highlight to me. The industry is keeps growing, there are endless opportunities. One of my highlights as well would be working here at Premier. I love the feeling of passion and knowledge around me and people eager to learn more.

When you are not at work, where would we find you? At the gym, at the park with children or a coffee shop

Who or what is your inspiration? My children. I want to make them proud so they keep me on my toes to keep doing better for myself and so that they can look up to me.

What’s your best advice to someone entering this industry? Have an open mind. Absorb as much knowledge as possible

Why would you recommend this industry as a career choice? As a female it has so many perks. It’s never felt like it’s hard work, it’s a fun job.
